Multi site org, trying to consolidate/upgrade at the same time.
Exchange site with server1 (nt4sp6, EX5.5sp4) in NTDomA. Want to build server2 (W2K, EX5.5sp4) in same site, but in NTDomB. Move mailboxes, associate new NT accounts, then remove NTDomA. Org, Site, and Configuration level, set service accounts in both domains with the service account admin role. Logged in as NTDomB's service account, installed Exchange. It still wanted to authenticate (if that's the right word) as NTDomA's service account to install. After the install I go back and look at the services, they're running with DomA's login. I know it can't be as simple as changing those passwords (see Q152808)XADM: How to Change the Service Account) Is this my best bet- to create a new site with the new NT domain, exmerge or pst the mailboxes over, then delete the old site? Any thoughts welcome!
