To use a site connector, you have to be in the same organization.
Otherwise, one option is the Interorg tool.

Subject: RE: LDAP for Address books?

I'm thinking that the sister company will eventually want to see and access
my Public folders as well. Also, I found out they have E2k on Win2k, and not
5.5 on WIN2k like I said before. I bet this changes my options.? I might be
better off with a site connector..but now I'm wondering is I can even do a
site connector between 5.5 and e2k. I might have to do the ADC route until I
upgrade to E2k. Any thoughts on this new development?
Thanks,
Ron

If you can't get the Interorg tool to work, you might consider Compaq's LDAP
Directory Synchronization Utility (LDSU) or Microsoft Metadirectory Server.
Another idea is to use the unsupported method of tying the two orgs together
using the Microsoft Mail Connector and Dirsync. That requires an
unsupported reg hack but is supposed to work.

Subject: LDAP for Address books?

I have a sister company with their own Exchange server 5.5 sp4 on Win2k.
They now want to connect to my exchange server, 5.5 on win2k to only share
address books. What would be the best way to accomplish this? I was thinking
LDAP, and have them search for names in my GAL, but you have to touch each
Client to get this configured. What I am looking for is a way to add their
GAL to my GAL and vise-versa, without doing a site connector or anything?
When they click on address book, they have the option of choosing my GAL or
their GAL to find a name. Is this possible, and if so, is there a good step
by step place I can go for the info? Thanks! Ron
