Connectors: This would be an Internet Mail connector or something similiar. More than likely this box was used to send and recieve internet mail. So you need to decide if you want to remove Exchange from this box or not. If you remove Exchange from this box you will not receive (or be able to send) internet mail. You have a few choices. Keep exchange running on this box as a "Relay" for your internal box and except outside connections for "yourdomain". Or you can use the Socks method for Proxy Server of binding the SMTP to the proxy server to relay mail.....

And since this is a single site, can I assume that step 6a doesn't apply for me? As you can see I'm pretty confused and new to Exchange. I can't even see how to move connectors.
