It can be done in mixed mode. There are some limitation with
distribution list permission. Do you have Technet or Internet access?

Subject: Upgrade to Exchange 2000

Hi all,

I am upgrading a Server from Winnt 4.0 running Exchange 5.5 to Windows
2000
running Exchange 2000.
According to the documentation the Server must be in Native Mode.

The current Domain cannot be upgraded to Native mode as there is one NT
4.0
BDC.
For some limitations we cannot install a Child Domain and switch it to
Native Mode.

My question is: Why is it necessary for the Domain to be in Native Mode
for
ADC to work? Is it possible to do the migration in a Mixed Mode Windows
2000
Domain? If so what are the limitations or work around?

If you guys can help me with this one it is very great.

Best Regards,

Michel Fayad
