But, without Frodo, all of Aragorn's travails and actions would've been for nought. Had Frodo not gone to Mt. Doom, Sauron would've still won the day. Even Aragorn knew that which is why he fought the final delaying battle hoping to give Frodo enough time to get rid of the ring.
