:)

My point exactly - WHY?

Well, you do have an agents tab on the Deleted Items folder, so
technically it is possible to do this. It's probably the cheapest way
to do it as well, assuming Sachin has the know-how to write the code.
Hell, you can even get creative and create a contact for each email
address that you retrieve from the Deleted Items and fill up the PHB's
contact list.

But......why?

Just curious, what does he hope to gain by having a list of email
addresses for messages that he has negligently deleted. Seems like a
behavioral problem to me.

Not sure about this (because I've never had to script actions on the
deleted items folder), but you could probably write an event script to
write the email address of every message that hits his deleted items
folder to a text file. Give him a link to the location of the text file.
Yet another exercise in stupidity issued by a PHB.

I think a better solution would be to correct the behavior, or this will
be the first in a long list of stupid scripting exercises for the Great
Stupid One.

My $.02. YMMV.

MS Outlook

I have a problem here ....my boss recieves hundreds of emails every day
so he keeps on deleting many of them without giving a serious look at
the contents and adresses. Now he wants that even if the mail gets
deleted and gets stored in the deleted items folder, he should run a
utility and be able to get the email ids of senders of all such messages
in the deleted item folder by running the utility at the end of each
day.

Can any body guide me how to go about writing such a utility or get it
somewhere for outlook. The mail server used is MS Exchange 5.5

thanks
Sachin
