That's problematic because mailboxes are associated with user objects in the
same forest.  I believe with a trust you can assign permissions, though, but
I haven't tested it.

We will be implementing two forests in our company,
which is at the moment split into two Exchange 5.5
Orgs.
I need to establish if/how we can permission users in
one forest to the mailbox folders of users in the
other forest. I know that trusts can be set up between
forests, but does this allow enough granularity for
mailbox permissioning etc?
Also, can someone confirm what tool we need to use to
enable Inter forest directory replication?
