Would never disagree with you David :-) but the guy (like me) is also in New Zealand and PSS does not exist here via an 0800 number. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?LN=EN-NZ is really only for personal use. We have to go via a reseller.
As an aside what is also interesting is that the first Victoria University SMTP server rata.vuw.ac.nz accepts the mail message fine and yet the second in therelay matai.vuw.ac.nz is the one that is erroring it. This means the filtering on matai.vuw.ac.nz is screwing with the unicode that is in the message. cheers Deanc -----Original Message----- From: David Lemson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Sunday, 20 January 2002 12:28 p.m. To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Permanent errors with messages to UNIX host - data format error I would suggest calling Microsoft Product Support Services. If your server is really named COMMS, then you probably need professional assistance on this issue. *************************************************** This e-mail is not an official statement of the Waikato Regional Council unless otherwise stated.
