Do you have any custom views based on fields in custom forms? I ran into an issue where if you set up a view that filters/formats items based on the value of a custom field in a form in one version of Outlook, it may not look the same in another version of Outlook.

Your second question is not really interesting, it's just a granular setting of permissions. You probably have "None" access with the "Folder Visible" box checked (default permission) for the parent and have at least "Reviewer" rights to the subfolder.
