That would not be a good idea, and not even doable. However, you can allow
relay by clients that successfully authenticate, although that opens it up
to anybody who has an account and password.

Is he on broadband or a dialup? If he's on broadband, then it wouldn't be
TOO great a pita to set him up with jdoe.no-ip.com or any such service (i
use and like no-ip.com). Then you can open up your relay to
jdoe.no-ip.com..... Maybe? =)

He is a contractor working for my company. So I want all his email that
comes from his IP to come from our company.

We want our clients to be able to reply to his email address at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] instead of using his email address through his ISP which
would be [EMAIL PROTECTED]

He is using POP for retrieving mail which works fine. He is using SMTP to
send mail which is the part I need to get working properly so he can send it
to my server and my server can then relay it to our clients.

Hope that answers your questions.

Dave

Is this for POP access or what?
Why does someone outside your company need to relay through you?

I have someone outside my main office that uses an ISP that has assigned
them a dynamic IP address. I have already denied mail relaying to all but a
few specific IP addresses.

Is there any way for me to grant this person outside my company the ability
to relay messages through my e-mail server, without opening my server wide
open for relaying to the outside world.
