I would change the procedure a bit so that you are modifying the mailbox to
mark it hidden, put message size limits so nobody can send to that mailbox
or use it to receive mail, add a delete on date X in ~1 month tag to the
display name, remove mailbox from all DL's, and also email all the accounts
telling them the mailbox is about to die. There is a possibility that your
user admin team have added a second NT account to the mailbox permissions
and you don't really want to restore loads of mailboxes or do you?.

Do a default export of mailboxes to a CSV file via the Exchange admin
program. Open the CSV file in Excel and sort by Primary NT Account (not
exact wording, but it's close). Delete all rows EXCEPT for the ones that
have UNKNOWN as the account.

Add one column, header is MODE and insert the word "DELETE" (without the
quotes) in that column in all rows.

Please make sure that the accounts shown in the spreadsheet are the ones to
be deleted, UNKNOWN can come up if there is no trust between two domains
that are served by your Exchange org. You also want to make sure you're not
deleting any service mailboxes that wouldn't have an account assigned
anyway.

Save your CSV file, then import it. All the mailboxes marked with DELETE
will disappear.

Could some share with me an easy way to identify and delete all Exchange 5.5
mailboxes that has an Unknown Primary NT Account? The group responsible for
adding and deleting users throughout the organization has not been removing
user's mailboxes after the NT account is deleted.

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks!
Ed
