I'm trying to set up E2k in a lab environment and have hit a snag. I've got AD & DNS up and running smooth (at least I think it is). ForestPrep and DomainPrep ran without errors. I have an ADC CA replicating one MSX 5.5 server to AD. Replication works (objects created on the MSX 5.5 system show up in AD).
Unfortunately, when I try to install E2K on a pristine win2k (SP2) box, It bombs out with an error 0xc0070534 when installing the SRS. I reinstalled win2k and tried E2K again with the same result. A search on AltaVista and MS Knowledge base turns up diddly-squat. Particulars: Empty root domain (native): ads.kimball.com (one server: named nts6) Main domain (native): kii.kimball.com (one server: named nts1, upgraded from an NT4 PDC) Exchange 5.5 server (sp3+hotfixes) is on an NT 4 server (sp6a) which is also a PDC for the EXCHANGEX domain. MSX 5.5 runs under the exchangex\administrator account. Exchangex trusts KII and ADS. ADC installed on nts6 and nts1. Originally the CA was on NTS6. Tried moving the CA to NTS1 - no change. The target box for E2K is in the kii.kimball.com domain. When doing the ForestPrep, I told it to make ads\administrator the Exchange Kahuna. I ran the E2K install as user ads\administrator. ads\administrator has also been added to the administrator group on the target E2K box. I'm stumped! Any ideas before I break out the credit card and call Microsoft? _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
