You might take a look at www.mail-resources.com in the web links | servers | directory management section. http://www.microsoft.com/SERVICEPROVIDERS/downloads/webadmin_overview.asp is also fun, but designed for E2K out of the 'box' I believe. There's also a great book by Thomas Eck on ADSI scripting for system administration which you ought to pick up if you are serious about building your own.
