I think I have done something similar to what you are asking -I had the
public folder contact search the mailboxes of other people (this was E5.5
with Outlook2000). I had a master profile that contained all the mailboxes
I wanted each one to search and set it up from there. I would have to play
with things a bit to tell you exactly what it was that I did, but that is
the gist of it.

Hi all,
I have a public folder containing 'contact' items. When I open a contact
and
check the Activities tab, I don't get the 'Show "All Items"' option.
In the 'properties' section of the contact folder, it does not allow me to
select the parent folder and 'Search sub folders' (the option is greyed
out)
for all references to a particular contact. It seems this feature only
works
on a mailbox.
Is this a design feature, or is there a work-around that somebody knows
about ?
