Each site needs a separate e-mail address space, but that separate space can be a secondary proxy address space. For example, each user in one site would have both [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can create custom recipients in one site that point to mailboxes in the other. For example, in the west site, you would have a custom recipient for user that points to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Please be aware that sharing an organization does not allow the sites to be "100% independent" of each other. Further, one of the two sites must own the company.com address space for incoming mail. Both sites can accept mail for that address space, but roughly half the mail will have to be rerouted over the link to the other space. There's no way for the world to tell which company.com server to use. You can put a smart mail redirector between your sites and the Internet to do this, but that's more work. Both want to run 100% independent of the other - both with Exchange 2K, SBS 2000. Here is the catch. The both want the same @campany.com domain name. Can I do this without hosting the mail externally and using the POP connector?
