I haven't tried it, but I know that performance monitor lets you run a
program when an alert (such as too few free megs of disk space) fires.  You
might be able to script something that generates/sends an e-mail message.

That's sort of the MacGyver solution; if you want something pre-packaged
you'll probably have to buy something.
