Can anyone help. I have a customer whose Exchange 5.5 server is playing up. The service account permissions on the Site have changed (apparently by themselves!!).
There are two service accounts specified which until recently both had Service Account Admin permissions to the Exchange Org, Site and Config container. Now the permissions show as follows: Org: Account1 = Service Account Admin Account2 = Service Account Admin Site: \Unknown Account = Service Account Admin Account2 = Admin Configuration: Account1 = Service Account Admin Account2 = Service Account Admin Obviously now I am unable to change permissions on the Site as there is no valid account with the required level of permissions. This is only a single NT Domain and a single Exchange server site. I have tried most things I can think of, and cannot find any information about this. Does anyone know of any way of being able to reset permissions at the site without having to reinstall the server (3rd party util or something?). Any information would be appreciated, or if anyone has had this before I'd be interested in knowing how you got round this. Cheers!
