If you're on Windows 2000, you can configure the service to auto-recover. However, you really should be looking into why your service is failing as opposed to ways of getting around it. If you car's oil light is on, you need to change your oil. Covering the light with band-aid doesn't make the problem go away, it only hides the symptoms.
