Hi all,

I have a problem on a couple of servers running Windows 2000 SP2, Exchange
5.5 SP4 with post SP4 hotfixes and ScanMail 3.52 with hotfix.

Here is the issue, we have recently been moving mailboxes from old Exchange
servers to new ones using the Move Mailbox method, while this was being
carried out ScanMail was disabled. The move mailbox conmpleted successfully
and user could log on to their mailboxes and everything was fine. However,
if certain users then ran archive it would fail "Some items could not be
copied". Therefore, I ran exmerge on the problem mailboxes and sure enough
it recorded errors, however if I actually accessed the message their was no
problem with reading it. After a bit of investigation I found that if I
disabled the AVAPI scanning on ScanMail, leaving MAPI running I did not get
any errors with Exmerge and the client could run archive. No problem was
encountered before the move mailbox and the old servers were running the
same version of ScanMail with the same setup.

Anyone seen this before or got any sugestions?

Regards,

Paul
