Ooops! Sorry, I misread your first e-mail! Actually this problem happens both in Exchange 5.5 and 2k, and in both office 2000 and XP, and even if it is local or in a public folder.
Even more strange! I did this: -Created a task that spreaded through more than one day and had more than 24 total hours -Edited the 'end time hour' (I could choose what hour I wanted) and changed it so that the task would have less than 24 hours -Edited the task again and tried to increase the 'End time hour' but I couldn't choose over the hour when the task completed 24 total hours AND Now it shows me beside each time in the combo box, the total time of the task correspondent. Does the same happen to you? This actually proves that even if you upgrade to Office XP and Exchange 2K, it will still work the same ;( Filipe Joel de Almeida Network Consultant [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mobile: +351 967819600 -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Jim Helfer Sent: tera-feira, 30 de Abril de 2002 15:37 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Differences in formatting of multi-day apointments > >Yeap, definitely a version problem. Well, Wednesday 4PM -> Thursday 9AM (Event spans >1 day, but < 24 total hours ) actually, but I'm guessing you meant that. If it's an Exchange thing, then maybe we'll be updating. If it's Office, I kind of doubt we are going to go for OXP. Thanks for checking it out Jim Filipe Joel de Almeida Network Consultant [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mobile: +351 967819600 -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Jim Helfer Sent: segunda-feira, 29 de Abril de 2002 22:29 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Differences in formatting of multi-day apointments Thanks, that's what I figured. I have another machine with Outlook 2000 and Ex2K SP2 and although it works fine on the mailbox calendar (the mailbox is on the server, not on a .PST), it doesn't work if I create a calendar in a Public Folder. Hope this helps. Filipe -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Jim Helfer Sent: quarta-feira, 24 de Abril de 2002 22:30 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Differences in formatting of multi-day apointments Hi All, On Exchange 5.5 SP4 and Outlook 2K SP1. The boss has noticed that when creating an "All-Day" apointment, or a multi-day apointment, the apointment is displayed in a box as one contiguous apointment. Except when the apointment is less than 24 hours, even if it spans more than one physical day. In this case, the apointment displays on the calendar as a 2 separate apoinments. For instance, we use a public calendar that our users can post "apointments" to to represent signing out some shared equipment. With this behavior, if I sign out a digital camera from Wednesday 5:30pm until Thursday 8:30 am, it will display like 2 separate apointments in month view. A bit confusing for this application. Probably nothing I can do. Does Exchange 2000 work any differently? Are there any third party outlook calender add-ins that have has escaped my search? Thanks for any ideas Jim "Who realizes that it's a bit off-topic, but I hope that "M $" boy will draw all the fire. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
