People who bitch about Microsoft (PSS at least) are generally also the same people who are incapable of formulating an intelligent technical question.
You ought to be on the phone with your hardware vendor at the moment as well, your -1018 error is a hardware related issue, and you'll need some parts swapage to keep this from happening again.....
