Hi,
Over the past two weeks I have developed a series of web
pages which manages Windows NT and Win2000 domain accounts.
Most used to use the WinNT provider, but as we are migrating
to Active Directory, I have been modifying parts to use LDAP
and Active Directory.
I have almost finished my project, however, I am stuck. As part
of account creation through ASP web pages talking via LDAP
to Win2K. I am required to create Exchange Mailboxes and
link it up to a) Existing accounts migrated from WinNT4 to Win2K
and b) Create new Win2K Accounts with Exchange mailboxes.
I have studied a number of web sites, for the past few days
including reading Tom Rizzo's Programming Microsoft Outlook and
Exchange, but am still very lost.
The code snippets I have found are not very expressive, or they
appear for only Exchange 5.5 not Exchange 2000.
Has any one got a sample which works for Exchange 2000. Either using
CDO or preferably ADSI? The microsoft web site MSDN again
appears to be designed around Exchange 5.5 and I am confused
about where exchange fits into AD.
There is talk about OU's and Orgs. which under AD dont exist. i.e.
We only have CN=Users, CN=Domain Users etc. I can see the storage
groups under cn=configuration. But am lost with what appears to
be LDAP mappings to an exchange environment.
Any assistance would reduce the increasing amount of stress, which
has now been bourn on me to have a working system by next week.
Regards,
Robert.
Frustrated by all the OOP in the world! The days of bare metal programming
where API calls made sense?!!
