I understand the following so far, when Outlook opens it obtains from the DS of the home server the public folder hierarchy which is replicated throughout the organisation. When a user selects a particular folder how is the data fed to the Outlook client? From article Q154941and Q253297 I would assume that the client uses the "Public Folder Server" set in the General settings of the private information store to obtain data from this server if it is replicated to this server. Therefore here is my example, if you have the Outlook Security Settings public folder replicated to all servers in your site (to try and load balance access), but the Public Folder Server setting of the home-mailbox server is set to a particular server (one central public folder server) the Outlook client will go to that server rather than use the replica of the public folder on it's own home-mailbox server?
