All,

I was screwing around with the NNTP service last week and seeing how it interacted
with the public folders. At some point in time something went wrong and now the
public folders will not mount. This is not really a big deal at my company since we
do not use them for anything other than free/busy. So I pulled an old backup from
before I screwed it up with the NNTP stuff. I went through the steps and it still
would not mount. No biggie, I renamed the restored files so that Exchange would
create a new public folder store. When I do I get this error message:

Event ID: 9519

Error 0x8004010f starting database "First Storage Group\Public Folder Store
(SERVERNAME)" on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store.
Failed to configure MDB.

which points me to this:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q253931

That is about doing restores, which I, at this stage, am not worried about I just want
a new clean one.

The error message that the Exchange System Manager gives me is:

The store could not be mounted because the Active Directory information was not
replicated yet.

That lead me to this:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q257222

These are my EXACT error messages. I thought this was the answer so I went through
the step by step. I rebooted both my Exchange 2000 servers and both my DCs. I then
went through the step by step again to ensure that the changes were correct, they
were. Still same exact error message.

I really think that something is screwed up in the AD but I do not know where to look
for Public Store stuff.

Can anyone push me in the right direction?

Thanks a ton!
