Lori,
My cluster is Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP2 running Exchange 2000 SP2 with
a couple of hotfixes on it. It is also active/active. It seems like the trendmicro
services will not let the cluster resources failover to the other node properly. I
have a call open to trendmicro but they haven't been able to reproduce my problem. I
have talked to a couple of people that are running active/passive just like yourself
and haven't had a problem.
Cluster aware - when an application shows up in the cluster MMC as a resource
that could be moved from one server to another server

Well, given the very limited information you posted (and you do know better
by now Eric!) I answered your question. Cluster aware? What does that
really mean?
I have a 5.5 sp4 active/passive cluster that I despise. Trend Scanmail is
installed on the hard drive partition that is shared, that is when the
cluster fails over, that partition is still available to Exchange.
Sometimes Trend *causes* the failover, sometimes he prevents it.

Lori,
Are you saying this is an cluster aware application? I am having
some many problems with this on my active/active cluster.

Yes, just install it on the shared drive.

Can you configure Trendmicro Scanmail as a cluster application resource?
