Sean, I believe 98's will be probably using Wins and W2K will be trying to use DNS, have a look at your DNS settings.
Cheers Paul Standards are like toothbrushes, everybody agrees you should have one, but no one wants to use yours -----Original Message----- From: Sean [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, June 06, 2002 5:35 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: VPN Connection Problems w/ 5.5 Server I hope someone can figure this one out because it's driving me nucking futs. Two EX servers, one 5.0 SP2 (stop laughing), one 5.5 with SP4 and all patches. Clients: Win98 and Win2K pro. Both up to date with service packs and fixes. Mail client is OL2K with SR2 on both OS's in corp/wg mode. The VPN software is SafeNet/Soft-PK 5.01 for both clients. When using Win98 client, mailboxes on either server can be accessed. When using 2K clients ONLY mailboxes on the 5.0 server can be accessed. Win2K clients accessing the 5.5 server can't even check name in the MAPI profile. All other network services on other hosts AND the EX 5.5 server are available (can map drives and establish RPC connections, etc with the 2K client.). >From the 2K clients pinging by name, IP address and RPC ping all work without fail to the 5.5 server. Someone tell me something really obvious and stupid that I'm overlooking...please! Thanks.
