Exch 5.5, SP4.0, NT4.0, SP6a
Only recently noticed some NDR's taking up to 1 month to be delivered. MTA
messaging defaults are in place. Some of these emails are sent from and to
internal users (1 site, 2 servers). ServerA and ServerB MTA queues have
items listed (Priv, Pub & IMC have no items listed on either server). Some
items are listed as Microsoft MTA as the originator in the queue. Here is
part of an NDR:
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
FRED BLOGGS on 28/05/2002 23:05
The maximum time for delivering the message expired
Does anyone know why it would take this long if the defaults are in place?
