If that's true, then he should check his custom recipient to ensure that
the address exactly matches the address he's sending from.

Wait a minute. That's not right. I do this too - I have a DL that only
ONE person can send to, and they are external to my org. I created a CR
and put that on the Allowed list. I know that it works because I have
had complaints from other chuckleheads trying to use the list, and it's
HUGE, so I don't allow anyone else to use it.

Yes, the CR is the one I'm trying to send from (My home account).

So are you saying that I cannot send to a Distribution List from my home
account even if I've created a Custom Recipient and added it to the
'allowed' list?

If this is the case, what options do I have for allowing someone not
within my org to send to a DL? The DL must have delivery restrictions
in place, so I can't simply allow everyone to send to it.

Thanks for your help.

Is the account you're sending from in the list shown? CRs don't work
for this, by the way.

How is the list's Delivery Restrictions property page configured?

NT4 w/SP6 SRP

Outlook 2000

I've created a custom recipient for myself and am attempting to send to
a DL. I have delivery restrictions in place, but have included my new
Custom Recipient as being able to send to the DL.

When I attempt to send a message I receive this error:

A restriction in the system prevented delivery of the message.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
