1) I will try point one out at home. 2) But if you are claiming I can do a simple dir file://./backofficestorage/DomainName this won't work from the command prompt either. It only works if you try to programmatically access it through ADO (or someother access method) which is smart enough in most cases to launch the appropriate provider unless you specify the provider using the connection object.
BTW - you can programmatically access most items using file://./backofficestorage/DomainName/MBX/Inbox/ etc, or file://./backofficestorage/DomainName/Public Folders/ but you can also use file:\\.\backofficestorage\DomainName\MBX\Inbox\ etc, or file:\\.\backofficestorage\DomainName\Public Folders\ as well. I have yet to find a difference between the two. Can you comment on this. Thanks for your help. > 1.
