Michael's answer is a typical smart-ass response that serves no other
purpose than to intentionally humiliate the questioner.

I don't believe a familiarity of initials necessarily constitutes knowledge
of a subject. Would it have been so difficult for you to write,
"Distribution List"?? No, I suppose not, you have to be the school bully!

I really wonder about the maturity level of some of you people!

Anyhow, I disagree with the suggestions thus far given.

The problem with David's suggestion is by adding them back into the DL, your
making those former employee email addresses legitimate again. By deleting
them from the DL, the server will bounce the mail. However, the admin still
receives a copy - I'm assuming that is your problem?

Until someone comes up with a KILLFILE type add-on, I found the best
solution is to make a inbox (server-based) rule to immediately delete those
messages.

Howto: From Outlook (2000),
- select tools / rules wizard;
- click the NEW button and select, "check new messages when they arrive";
- click NEXT and select "with specific words in subject or body";
- add in specific words, meaning add in [EMAIL PROTECTED] for each
former employee (I'm not too sure how many will fit in here but I have 22
now);
- click NEXT and select "delete it" as your action.

That's about it. Very effective and your server still bounces the bad
messages.

How could you not know what a "DL" is? I just thought it was kind of weird
for an Exch Admin not to know that.

Don't laugh but what's a "DL"?

create a DL with all the email addresses, no members and hide it. No rule
required.
