I've managed to create a new profile on a machine, create an empty OST and
then replace it with an OST from another machine in the past.

Subject: Restore OST on to a new workstation installation

Hello,

I have some users on the other side of a slow link from the Exchange (5.5)
server. They are about to have there workstations rebuilt and some have
around 500-800mb in OST files (outlook 2000). Old OS was 98 and new one is
W2K.

Is there anyway that these can be backed-up, then restored onto a new
machine for the same user (and exchange account) or will be I be stuck with
an error about the wrong OST for the user? I am trying to avoid having
dozen users all sync'ing massive mailboxes across the WAN links if poss.
