Ok what about Symantec's product? Does it even stack up?

So is Groupshield 5 significantly different from 4.5, aside from working
better?

I've used both Groupshield 4.5 and Antigen, and even if you ignore
reliability issues, I think Antigen is a much better product. Looking,
for instance, at attachment blocking, while they both do it, Antigen's
attachment blocking is considerably more flexible than Groupshield's. In
Antigen, for instance, you can block all LNK and PIF files that are
really executables, but not block those that really are shortcuts and
pifs. In Groupshield though, as of 4.51 anyway, it's all or nothing.

And how about notifications? In Antigen all the notifications are
editable and can be different, and turned on or off, for lots of groups
of people such as internal virus senders, external virus senders,
internal virus recipients, and so on. Groupshield on the other hand has
no such configurability.

And you wouldn't believe the difference in tech support!
