If you do have applications that access with CDO you may see some issues.

As a result, a Collaboration Data Objects for Exchange (CDOEX) or Collaboration Data Objects for WindowsR (CDOSYS) application that sends mail using Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) could fail. Although this change may cause a disruption to some customers, the end result is a more secure system. Exchange and Microsoft are deeply committed to improving the security of our products for customers.
