So, Dan understands that OOO messages to messages sent to mailing lists is
found offensive by some and rather than put his subscription on hold or
subscribe a PF as suggested in the FAQ he instead insinuates that complaints
about his lack of courtesy to the rest of the community is childish. Ironic
in that he is most likely to offend the most prolific posters to this list,
who also happen (on average) to be the most helpful.[1]

Now, I certainly understand organizations which require OOO to be enabled to
the internet. I actually work for one. But, I have the common sense and
decency to either subscribe PFs to mailing lists or put my subscriptions on
hold when possible.

Childish to point out he's knowingly being an ass to his peers? Perhaps, but
still spot on.

[1] In fact, the most helpful developer on this list wrote a script which
kill files all future posts from anyone subscribed to this list who sends
him an OOO response to one of his posts.

I guess only children are able to figure out how to subscribe a PF.

I am currently out of the office and will not be checking email until I
return on Monday, July 29th. Please contact Bob Mcwilliamfor pressing
issues.

If you receive this from posting to a listserver, please (really) don't
tell
me to turn it off. Time to act like an adult.

Dan
