Hi we have three W2000 Server with exchange 5.5 on different locations and every server should be locally backuped with ntbackup. The problem is that the ntbackup from location Konstanz saves the database from Haan.
When i open the list of exchange server in ntbackup on the location Konstanz their are sorted alphabetically Microsoft Exchange Exchange WAE Haan PDC Konstanz PDC Mailand PDC In every side we have one PDC but he lists not the hole domain name. Haan is the first entry and ntbackup save this exchange database. I expect the problem is the backup.bks script. When i choose the backup sources in ntbackup the bks script shows below. c:\ d:\ DS \\PDC IS \\PDC The name of the exchange server is only PDC. When i change the name to a full domain name ntbackup stops with a Dr. Watson. For this problem I have nothing found in the technet.
