Assuming that you actually DO have the Exchange agent installed, on the Backup Selections tab in BackupExec, expand the entry for your mail server and you should see (among other things):
Add-ins Address C$ connect$ D$ Microsoft Exchange Directory Microsoft Exchange Information Store Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes If you're doing brick-level-backups, you must be checking the "Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes" box. Instead, you *should* be checking the "Microsoft Exchange Directory" and "Microsoft Exchange Information Store" boxes. Checking those boxes will tell Backup Exec to back up the directory and the information store, respectively. If you do NOT see any of those boxes, then you do NOT have the Exchange agent installed.
