Cancel what I just said:

The account needs to be in Schema Admins.

You don't need that permission to run a domain prep. I would examine
all DNS and WINS settings, and be sure the domain is really in the
forest.

Subject: setup /domainprep does not continue

MSX2000+SP3+native mode

W2K+SP3+native mode

1 forest , two diferent NTdomains

when running setup /domainprep in the second Nt domain, that belongs to
the forest, we got

setup is unable to access the windows 2000 active directory

failed to contact the schema master server for this active directory
forest

on MSX2000 I have delegated FullExchadmin admin to the account that is
trying the domainprep

any ideas? what other permissions are needed?

Rgds,

ER
