Just wondering, You said 1 forest 2 nt domains. First nt domain has an exchange server and is working fine. 2nd nt domain gives you the error you have described below when trying to install a exchange server.
Have you created a 2 way trust between the win2k domain and the 2nd nt domain. Can you get to the win2k dc cia pinging it by FQDN. Does your first nt domain have a trust with win2k domain. Also just curious if you are running in native mode why not just convert 2nd nt domain to a AD domain. But make sure there are trusts setup between ll these domains that might be worth looking into and also make sure you can get to the DC using its FQDN.
