Please take a look at this scenario and let me know what you may think
is wrong please. In our first site we have to bridgeheads. 1 5.5 IMC
and 1 2k SMTP connector. I switched all internet to flow through the
SMTP connector inbound and outbound. I have an address space of * with
a cost of 1 on the SMTP connector. That is that config. We also have a
2k site in Europe with one server. I have these two sites connected by
a Routing Group Connector with a cost of 1 with an address space of
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Before mail was flowing fine between sites
until I switched over the Internet mail connectors. Now the remote site
can send to us but we cant send to them. When we try to send to that
site, the mail somehow tries to go out the 2k SMTP connector to the
internet which creates a loop due to our smart host sending it back.
After a while of scratching my head I decided to give my own account an
SMTP address of the remote site. Now I can send to them? Why do I need
to add that address space as an address for myself to send to them.
That domain is included in our default recipient policy also. So now I
am stuck trying to figure out what happened? An info would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance.
