This is a known issue with the logoff page. Check out the SP2 release notes at http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/downloads/2000/sp2/Rnotes_US.htm. :-)
"'The specified metadata was not found." means there was no ASP application created in the Internet Service Manager. <QUOTE> *--------------------- HTTP 500 Errors When Logging Off or Using Unified Messaging When accessing the pages used to log off or download the Unified Messaging controls in Outlook Web Access, you may receive an HTTP 500 error. Incorrect settings on the Exchweb\bin virtual directory cause this error. This error may occur on a front-end or back-end server. To resolve these HTTP 500 errors Open Internet Services Manager. Go to the Exchweb\bin virtual directory. Right-click the bin virtual directory, and then click Properties. On the Virtual Directory tab, click Create, and then click OK. *--------------------- </QUOTE> -----Original Message----- From: Varghese, Wilson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Saturday, August 31, 2002 1:56 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: OWA2K logout.asp generates event 36 Finally got this resolved with MS PSS help. Apparently IIS didn't install properly. Had to go to a command prompt in winnt\system32\inetsrv and type rundll32 wamreg.dll, CreateIISPackage This registered the DLL and everything worked. wilson -----Original Message----- From: Varghese, Wilson Sent: Wednesday, August 28, 2002 5:28 PM To: 'Exchange Discussions' Subject: RE: OWA2K logout.asp generates event 36 I'm getting this error but it's not from logoff.asp. MS PSS had me uninstall, reinstall IIS, SP2, Exchange 2k, E2k SP3 in that order on our Exchange server. Now I get these errors every few minutes. Also people with mailboxes on that server can not access it with OWA.
