Correction: Standard recommendation FOR AVAILABLE BANDWIDTH is 3-5 kbps per user for light users, 5-7 kbps per user for moderate users, and 10+ kbps per user for heavy users.
If you don't have that kind of bandwidth and boosting connections isn't possible, then teach them to run with offline folders and periodically select Send and Receive.
