Sounds like you're doing auto-booking; OL98 doesn't support that. -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Beeler [mailto:jbeeler@;nb.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 23, 2002 8:47 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Resource mailbox
I have recently set up a mailbox on an E2k server in an Exchange mixed mode site(sp3) as a resource mailbox for a conference room. When a user sends to the mailbox using Outlook xp or Outlook 2000, the meeting books properly and all is just dandy - ie, the user gets confirmation that the meeting was booked and it is placed in the resource mailbox's calendar. However, when an Outlook 98 client associated with an Exchange 5.5 (sp4 with hotfixes) mailbox creates the meeting, although he gets a confirmation that the meeting was booked, when you look inside the resource mailbox's calendar, the meeting does not exist. Does anyone know if this is a problem using Outlook 98 clients in this configuration, or if someone is aware of a fix/setting change for this?
