Chris gently reiterated the policies of this list [1] in a very subtle way by
providing a link to a place where you could have found the answer to your question
"what is an RBL?". He did nothing rude or out of line.

Your response was unreasonable - especially since a search on Google of RBL turns up
the information you needed in the first three items. The one you cited is the fourth
on the list. Just to prove it to you, here's a link to the results of a Google on
"RBL"
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=RBL

I think you were spoiling for a fight.

Darcy

statement

Sorry - no. You threw the first stone when you called Chris names. Now
go away and think about it.

Yes but Gary didn't have to be a dick. In fact if he wasn't acting like
a dick in the first place then none of this would have happened.

Okay - I generally keep my mouth shut when I see folks do things on this
list that are less than professional. Most of it is good-natured and/or
only minimally offensive. We all have our moments, and we're all
presumably grownups.

Gary didn't play "nice", but he did not use any words that would be
considered offensive.

You have used foul language in an attempt to directly insult a respected
member of this list [1] who did nothing more than point out to you that
you could have answered your own question very easily. Now you've
posted a link to a truly offensive picture. I'm guessing that you were
hoping to insult Gary [2].

That goes over the line - not only is it unprofessional, it is the sort
of thing that clicking on can get people fired. Stop and think about
it. Nearly all of us who are on this list are at work. We are here
primarily for information, partly for socialization. We are not here
for you to inflict your infantile notion of humor on.

I politely answered your question and provided additional background on
*why* RBL's should be used judiciously because I prefer to give folks
the benefit of the doubt. You have proven that the courtesy was wasted
on you.

Darcy

[1] Lucky for you, Chris rarely takes offense at the behavior of
children. [2] Gary also usually ignores people who haven't grown up yet,
but he hits harder when he does decide to take notice. Sometimes
juveniles need to be spanked.

Hummert, you incompetent little piece of pond scum, did it occur to you
to actually run a "real" google search, such as "rbl email definition"?
Comes up on the first page you arrogant little pillow muncher. See? You
want to throw shit around on the list? There's plenty of folk that can
come on out and party, you lobotomised little wanker.

For the record - I _know_ what Scharff's contribution to life the
universe and everything is. You? Other than being one of the current
poster children of prophylactia (along with Precht), exactly what is
your function in the messaging universe?
