That is not a normal internal Exchange read receipt. Instead it looks like its a message that Exchange creates in order to inform any e-mail user that they sent in a message with a Read Receipt on it via SMTP and internet delivery.
So it looks as though the message got to him via the Internet, not direct on an internal Exchange connector connected system. The only permissions on this DL is sendas and I checked the secretarys sent items and she did send it out on behalf of my boss. Is there any place that I can check in exchange 5.5 for receipts and see how users get them. I always thought the system adminstrator sent out receipts.
