We switched last weekend from E55 IMS on a non-clustered box to an SMTP connector on an E2K active/passive cluster. No troubles. Took ten minutes (plus 7 hours tracking down what turned out to be a MAILsweeper config problem on the non-Exchange e-mail gateway server).
