The students are employed by the school so it's a business e-mail address not the student one. They have every right to do what they want.

If their students then it's safe to assume (well in the US anyways) that their university provides them with e-mail addresses. Now I'm also assuming that he's disabling their external e-mail address cause he doesn't want them mailing their friends ect ect. But wouldn't they be using their universities e-mail system to do this anyways? With webmail systems and all isn't what he's doing more trouble then it's worth? Unless of course he's doing it so the students can't contact clients. But if that was the case is he going to take away their phone privileges too? What type of employee relationship is this going to produce?
