We are currently configuring a select few mailboxes for POP3 delivery for their WAP devices. This is a temporary setup until we upgrade to Exchange 2000 but I need to get it working.
Here is my setup: 1 site with 2 Exchange 5.5 SP3 servers. IMS is setup on server 1. the DNS record for pop.mydomain.com is pointed to server 1. My problem: users with mailboxes on server 1 have no problem getting their mail. Users on server 2 get the following error: There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop.mydomain.com', Server: 'pop.mydomain.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR The requested mailbox is not available on this server', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92 If I point a user on server 2 directly to server 2's IP address (internally), it works just fine. I have looked for an article on TechNet with no success. How do I setup one address for all users in my site to be able to access their mail via POP3? I know I probably missed something stupid but I can't seem to put my finger on it.
