Don't know how to do it with mom, but you can right click on the domain in ADUC and pick find. Next, choose to find choose exchange recipients. Then pick Users with exchange mailboxes. On the storage tab pick the mailbox store. Then click find. It will give you a total number of objects found at the bottom.
