you don't need the M drive. No one needs the M drive. -----Original Message----- From: Jeffrey Dubyn [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 06, 2003 2:21 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: M drive mapping removal?
I came across this Q article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q305145&sd=tech Which explains "...Microsoft recommends that you remove the drive M mapping to the IFS, unless you are using the IFS for specific reasons..." I have never seen a reason to use this feature, and have even seen Norton AntiVirus cause corruption when the customer "accidentally" scanned the M drive. Pros/Cons of removing the M drive? Has anyone incorporated this into their best practices in deploying Exchange?
