I have an Exchange 2000 setup which is setup to relay certain email
addressees back-out to the internet, to their own personal ISP POP3
accounts. Since moving across from Exchange 5.5 I have been seeing several
mail failures within my Exchange Admin mailbox for these relay-addresses
where the error message states:-

"> Joe Bloggs on 27/01/2003 13:28
> The message contains a content type that is not supported
> <intra.gap.co.uk #5.6.1 smtp;554 5.6.1 Body type not supported
by Remote Host>"

Now having done some research I realised it's an 8-bit mime thing. I have
applied the change as per Q262168, which stops the failures from occuring,
by simply turning off the 8-bit mime option at the front door! However,
today I realised that as soon as the Exchange Server is rebooted, the 8-bit
mime option is reinstated and the failures all start again!!

So, eventually getting there, is there anyway to modify the Contact (Custom
Recipient) within Exchange to accept 8-bit mime? I have search Technet and
couldn't find anything, any pointers most gratefully received.

Thanks

Gavin
